SRRC Athlete of the Week
“On fire”, on a roll”, “in the zone”, all great figures of speech intended to describe that unique state of mind that every SRRC athlete strives to tap into. As all of our team members are dedicated to achieving greatness, we wanted to highlight specific accomplishments of drive, confidence, calm, focus and athletic achievement.
Take a moment and help us celebrate our athlete and help us recognize their achievements while we encourage all to follow their journey. Let us congratulate Kaiya Kizuka as our SRRC Athlete of the Week.
Kaiya Kizuka is the SRRC snowboarder of the week. Kaiya Kizuka received her invitation on Monday night to represent Team USA at the Snowboarding World Championships in Park City, UT on February 4th and 5th.

Kaiya is 19 years old. She is the daughter of Makota (Mako) and Carrie Kizuka. Sisters Mika (17) and Akina (12) are also members of the SRRC snowboard team and were featured last season as athletes of the week. The Kizuka family have a Shiba Inu named Momo. She lives in Sinking Spring, PA. She has been snowboarding for about 14 years. This is her 5th year with SRRC.
Athlete & Scholar
Kaiya is a Presidential Scholar at the Reading Area Community College (RACC). She is enrolled in the 2+2 engineering program at RACC/Bucknell. She loves working with numbers. In her spare time, she loves playing Far Cry and Forza.
2020 Olympic Goals
She hopes to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Apparently, she loves tuning snowboards, because diamond stones are this young athlete’s best friends. Read the RACC News Article about Kaiya.
